I don’t do a lot of backdrop images because I love natural lighting. But when I was asked to do a sitting for a dancer I thought of the fun of it all; Make-up, lights, sparkles, and glam. So I of course said yes. What girl doesn’t like a little glam in her day? After a couple weeks of chatting online I finally met the Mibeck family. I was thrilled to see they were just as much fun as I expected. Sarah, was the main attraction, it was her dance costumes that were displayed, but Dad jumped in for a shot from The Wizard of Oz, and then I was happy to see big brother Nick dress the part for a little tap. He even showed Bethany his moves- which she loved! (And is now asking for tap shoes.) Mibeck family, you have danced your way into our hearts and we are so blessed to have met you all. Thank you for the wonderful morning of sparkles and laughter.

A little tap with her big brother,

One of my personal favorites. Not so much because of the pose but because their smiles are genuine.

And as much as big brother didn’t want his picture taken alone, he was gracious with this amazing smile.

“I feel like dancing Whoo, Dancing.. Whoo… Dance the night away!”

    Huntington Beach

We had so much fun at the beach Saturday. It was the perfect day to be there. Even with a million people around we were able to get some fun shots of the kids playing, family portraits, and some real wet ones too. Sorry if you missed out this time, but we’ll plan something else soon. Here’s a sneak peak of whats to come from the weekend,

Sunday we spent the day at the Mooneye’s Summer event. It was really hot but so much fun. I’ll share some of my point and shoot pictures and Jake’s portraits as soon as I catch up!

    Enjoy,
    Tish

2011 Granite Hills Senior- San Bernardino Photographer

What a blast we had searching for locations yesterday for this shoot. I had a few things in mind but found the wall I had planned, tagged. thank you for that who ever wrote droid on the wall. So we hunted down a couple new spots and I think they turned out amazing. Ashlie thanks for being such a good sport and for all the amazing smiles. Good luck in your Senior year, and enjoy the rest of your summer!

    Thanks,

    Upland 2010 Grad

This evening I met Michaela; a gorgeous young high school grad with goals and ambition for the future. Not only is she stunning but she has an amazing personality with lots of spunk and sass. It was so much fun, even with the wind and bright sun! Michaela, good luck with your future plans. I know you’ll go far and be incredible in all that you do.

I love this one.. I love this wall too

By the way Grandma and Michaela, I just wanted to say that I loved how much the two of you laugh together and love each other. The photo I took of the two of you is priceless and I hope its something you’ll treasure for years to come. I won’t post it here. I’ll save it for the gallery. Thanks for asking me to capture the “before” in the next chapter of your lives.

    1st mini session of July

My first mini session of the month was so much fun. We went over to Hesperia Lakes and played in the water, fed the ducks and the boys got drenched. I think one of the little guys fell in the water not once, not twice, but three times. He was so wet. It was great.
Mr. J was in Bethany’s preschool class this last spring so he knew my camera from preschool pictures and has just the greatest smile.

Now Mr. J #2 was here for a pre-tooth falling out portrait. We tried to get one of the tooth being pulled but it wasn’t quite ready. I did promise him a follow up picture once it was missing.

And then there is little Miss K. She wasn’t in the mood for a shoot today but when she did smile, it was perfect.

Oh and I just had to post this little face too

And a group shot. I have a few of these but this one’s my fav, and I’m so bummed Mr J isn’t in focus.

Can’t wait to see you guys again, and Mr J #2 I wanna see a space in those teeth! :)

    Mini Sessions for the Summer!

I haven’t been working much because I’ve been spending a lot of time with the kids the last couple of weeks. I love having a house full of kids and the last couple of weeks have been great. Lots of laughter and giggles galore. Sometimes when I get busy with working a lot and staying up late daily its good to get back to my roots. I love taking pictures because of our kids. Bethany of course you all know and have seen many photos of, but we have several other kids- 9 cousins! I claim them all, even on a bad day. They are my roots. All 10 kids. I take pictures because of them. I love to capture their moments and watch them grow up. They inspire me and make me want to be better at what I do.
My sister-in-law has been wanting a wall of photos of her 4 kids for some time. She has an idea of 4 square black and white photos matted with a black frame. But since she has 4 boys that don’t choose to sit in front of the camera and smile, its been a work in progress. I have one more to capture, but here are three of the kids. I have captured these all on different days in different places, but each really shows their best smiles. The oldest thinks pro football players don’t smile for pictures so this is a rare one of him, but I found his amazing smile. I have one more to get, I’ll share the wall with you when I’m done.

If your looking for a custom wall design of your family let me know and I’d love to help you out.
    .
One more thing…. Its mini session time. 30 minute sessions for 35.00. Only for the High Desert unless I get a group for the beach then I’ll make the trip down. Group family pictures will be 35. per family in the group. All sessions will be 35.00 for the month of July so if you were wanting a family portrait or a wall designed this is the time to do it!
And don’t forget I work on a referral basis so 3 friend or family referrals and you get a free session of your choice.
    Until next time,
    Tish

Yikes! I really need to post something hu?

Sorry, been so busy I haven’t posted anything in awhile. So tonight I’m gonna leave you with one of Jake’s photos. Soon I will put a gallery of Jake’s stuff for you view. He’s on Flicker also. You can check him out there under Jake Morrison. He’s really got a talent photographing and editing cars and trucks. Today we went to a friends house for a bbq and the street was covered with oldie but goodies. It was amazing and lots of fun. He’s made some great friends in the Sultan’s car club. They’re really an amazing group of people. Thanks Sultan’s for letting Jake do what he loves and for all your kindness.

    Until Next Time,
    Tish

    The Okwor baby Christening

A few weeks back the Okwor family asked me to join them in the christening of their first addition to the family; their beautiful baby boy. Little L.J. was so sweet. The christening was at their church in Fontana and was shared with family and friends from all over. Now anyone that knows me, knows that I love color. So when you see these photos you will understand why I was in heaven. The family was beautiful. There isn’t another word to describe them. Okay so maybe gorgeous and amazing would work too. Either way, take a look and choose your own descriptive words.

    So much fun…

    One from the christening

And the kids. Let me tell you. I had so much fun with the kids. They were all so cute and loved the camera. I let them all take a few photos and there were some great shots. Too bad we were inside with a flash because I could have spent hours with each of them and I’m sure they wouldn’t have opposed.

I wish this one was in better focus. It was one of my favorites so I’ll share anyways,

The smiles and laughter you can almost feel looking at this photo

I love the love you can see in families, and this family was amazing. Everyone was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Thank you for having us. We were blessed to spend the day with your family.
