Vintage Tea Party

This wasn’t just a tea party in the middle of nowhere this was a tea party with lots of sentimental value. This is 4 generations of lovely ladies that had the chance to wear grandma’s hats from the 40’s and 50’s, tea cups that have been cherished by each generation, and few of grandma’s scarfs and gloves. Everything was perfect, down to the singing from The Sound of Music. For me it is something that I will always remember, so I know that this family will cherish the memory of of this tea party for years to come. These are just a few from the session. I just loved the way the youngest generation got into character with the tea cups and boa’s.

There are many things I love in life, morning kisses from Bethany, the smell of Jake’s pillow, vanilla bean ice cream and peanut butter, the way my dog Lulu smells like Fritos, I can really go on and on. But my priorities in life start with God, then Jake and Bethany, and next on the list are my nieces and nephews. I love the sound of laughter in my house. Little kids giggling just makes my heart smile. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for each and every niece and nephew. They are all so different in their own ways and it has been so much fun watching each of them grow up. I have 4 nephews here in the High Desert and then 2 nephews and 1 niece in Arizona. I get to see the boys grow up weekly here but the ones in Arizona I look forward to my long weekend in the summer they get to come hang out without their parents. This last weekend they came out and we took the time to get dolled up and do a Glam it Up session with Miss Scarlet. She has grown up to be such a beautiful young lady…

Oh and I just loved this one… It reminds me of my friend and photographer Marco Vargas’ work. I titled it “What up Dog”

Glam it Up sessions

Just a reminder that the Glam it up sessions at the low rate is only good until the 23rd. Thats 2 weeks left and then prices jump to 75 for a session fee. So book and pay now and you’ll keep that low rate! I have so many new faces for the Glam it Up next week and I can’t wait to share. Thanks for all the emails and comments on our photos. Glam it up

I am so excited to introduce the newest session for 2010! This isn’t your average family photo session, this is a time for you to get dressed up and spend a day with your daughters. No blue jeans and tshirts for this one. The fun thing about this session is that you and your daughters get to get dressed up, maybe get your hair done, and even a touch of makeup if you choose and go to a location in the middle of no where and have fun! This will be a memory that will be captured for you – so you can have them forever.
I’m going to start with Bethany and I because I am so excited to share our Glamor photos. We decided to go for a little 80’s style for fun. Our hair was done by Susan Glass and make-up by Patricia Perez both of Oasis Salon in Victorville. Our photos were done by our good friend Desiree Sanchez with A Skewed View, and I couldn’t help but take a few of Bethany. Thanks to all of you for making this happen. We had so much fun and it was definitely a memory Bethany and I will both remember forever.

This next session was another friend and previous client Tywana and her beautiful girls. They came out with their beautiful smiles and played with a box of necklaces and some other fun little things. This age is fun because something as little as a necklace can amuse them and get them to do the cutest things. This is just another example of how you can have fun in the middle of nowhere and capture precious moments.

I know this is a long post but check out this next Mom and daughter. Carrie and her daughter were amazing. We went out to the dry lake bed and threw a few props and it all just worked. I added a little red suitcase for color and an older step stool with steps for seating and Camryn just loved it so it was a great prop for her age. One of my favorite things about this shoot was that little Camryn smiled for me!! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her several times and let me tell you she has given me a run for my money. It only took a year and a half but she finally gave me beautiful smiles and some new favorite photos.

The “Glam it up” session is available until January 23rd for a $30.00 session fee’s and after the 23rd they will be their regular price of $75.00. This session is for moms and daughters of all ages to put on a sassy outfit, and not just your sunday best, but get creative and have fun with it. Not only will you get some fun and creative posed photos but I’ll be sure to get some candid moments of you enjoying each others company. So get your daughters or your moms, grandma’s and aunts and lets play dress up!
